Description
Medsby SkelCam V2 — Real-Time Skeletal Tracking System
SkelCam is a real-time skeletal tracking system that pairs a dedicated tracking camera with the SkelCam desktop software to capture and visualize human body movement. The system detects key body landmarks and overlays a skeletal point-and-line map onto the live camera feed, giving clinicians and researchers a clear view of movement patterns as they happen.
Designed for physiotherapy, rehabilitation, sports science, biomechanics research, and academic training environments, SkelCam supports tracking across three regions — body, hands, and face — and lets you save recordings as full video files or individual still frames for later review.
Key features:
- Live skeletal tracking — real-time joint angle overlays (knees, hips, ankles, elbows, shoulders) with numeric readouts and live angle-vs-time graphs
- Regional tracking — switch between full-body, hand landmark, or dense facial mesh tracking depending on what you need to observe
- Automated gait & movement analysis — three built-in reports:
- Angle-Based Analysis — range of motion, average/peak angles, and consistency scoring per joint
- Symmetry Analysis — left vs. right comparison with a symmetry index and score
- Count & Cadence — stride/step counts, step and stride length, cadence, and ground contact time
- Flexible data capture — analyze live camera feed in real time or load previously recorded sessions
- Complete session data export — every recording saves an annotated video, individual frame images, raw angle data, raw landmark data, and session metadata (view, subject height, camera, frame rate, duration)
- Simple hardware setup — dedicated SkelCam V2 camera unit, tripod-mounted, connects via USB to a Windows laptop or PC running the SkelCamV6 desktop application
